          The team\u2019s ongoing era in international sports car racing began upon the founding of JOEST RACING in 1986. More and more often this Porsche customer team managed to beat the Porsche works team and quickly established itself as a force to be reckoned with. As a result of his outstanding achievements Reinhold Joest was called into the ranks of the official Porsche works drivers in 1971.<\/p>\n

          Some of the highlights from those days were several victories in class at the 1000km N\u00fcrburgring, repeated second and third place finishes at the 24h Le Mans, the championship title in the Interserie and the overall victory at the 24h Daytona.<\/p>\n

          The team became recognized and appreciated thanks to the immaculate and disciplined fashion in which JOEST RACING went about the preparation of its race cars resulting in outstanding reliability.           In 1993, the Adam Opel AG made the step into the DTM with JOEST RACING. Following this apprenticeship year, the historical first victory for Opel in DTM came at Donington Park in 1994. To the cheers of the entire team Manuel Reuter crossed the finish line victorious in his Nr. 5 Opel Calibra RC3.<\/p>\n

          Many more victories and podium finishes followed culminating in Opel Team Joest winning the DTM\/ITC Championship in 1996 and rounding up this partnership with the title crown.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

          A particularly outstanding success story began when the AUDI AG decided to start in the 24h Le Mans in 1999. JOEST RACING was the first choice for the brand with the four rings and it did not heed disappointment.<\/p>\n

          Having finished on the podium at its debut at the 24h Le Mans in 1999 sovereign victories by Audi Sport Team Joest followed in the years 2000, 2001 and 2002 occupying the top-three spots, respectively.<\/p>\n

          With the support of Audi Sport of North America JOEST RACING began participating in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and continued its run of victories. Audi Sport Team Joest won the ALMS title four years in succession. At the 2006 edition of the 24h Le Mans, Audi Sport Team Joest scored another historic win. The first victory by a diesel powered sports car. Repeating this feat in 2007, 2008, 2010 and 2011 Audi Sport Team Joest locked out the podium in its entirety in 2012. This winning series continued into 2013 and 2014.<\/p>\n

          The success story continued, resulting in a total of 13 24H Le Mans victories, 4 WEC titles, over 60 overall wins and well over 150 podium finishes from the 18-year partnership.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          This impressive r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and the much appreciated German craftsmanship didn\u2019t go unnoticed in America. In 2017, JOEST RACING signed a third extensive contract with a car manufacturer, the Japanese Mazda brand, which had been without notable success in the IMSA championship before teaming up with JOEST RACING.<\/p>\n

          Following a development-year in 2018, the first victory for the Mazda RT-24 P came at the 6h Watkins Glen in 2019. JOEST RACING helped Mazda Motorsport achieve a total of three important victories before this partnership ended in March of 2020. Albeit not without MAZDA TEAM JOEST achieving the manufacturer\u2019s best result of the past several decades at the 24h Daytona 2020 having posted Pole-Position, setting the lap record and finishing second overall with #77.           The 2023 World Endurance Championship saw a significantly increased number of cars in the Hypercar category. Numerous original equipment manufacturers made their debuts with a variety of car concepts, which increased the competition and made the fight for top results all the more of a challenge. After a rare non-finish for Glickenhaus at the season opener, the 12h of Sebring, solid performances at Portimao and Spa followed, which saw the team travel to the season\u2019s highlight race, the 24 h Le Mans, with boosted confidence. Once again both fielded Glickenhaus LMH 007 crossed the finishing line hence cementing a hundred percent finishing quota for the American boutique car manufacturer and beating several prominent sports car and mass production manufacturers in the process. <\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

          The 2023 season for historic race cars saw our department for classic racing take on a further vehicle. This bolide did not have far to travel as it is the Porsche 962C chassis number 013, which changed ownership from our own fleet to the capable hands of our long-term client, Monsieur Ivan Vercout\u00e8re. This car comes in the iconic paint scheme of our sponsor in period – BLAUPUNKT – and carries the legendary starting number 7. The second car from Ivan\u2019s collection under service with us is the Porsche 962C chassis number 155.<\/p>\n

          Extensive testing at Hockenheim and Paul Ricard assured optimal preparation of the drivers, the crew and the cars for the challenges ahead. Over the course of the season comprising the Mugello-Classic, the Spa-Classic, the Le Mans Classic and the Paul Ricard Dix Mille Tours five Pole Positions, three Fastest Laps and one Victory were achieved.           Reinhold Joest\u2019s racing career ended on a lucky note by winning his last race, the 9h Kyalami in South-Africa at the end of 1981, sharing his car with Jochen Mass. Only few racing drivers manage to bid farewell with a victory.
